Day 1: 7 Colors

A seven day blogging challenge and a wise way to connect new bloggers each day. My theme is to pen down about “Seven” things, objects, places, outfits that somehow fascinated me since childhood. I want to make this week and the challenge as “Number-7” everyday.

My day1 theme is 7-Colors

When the sun shines and suddenly the muse of rain started smashing, when I can feel the sunshine and rain-droplets at the same time then it is called a “Rainbow” .

As a kid I used to peek from my window everyday just in case if I can see a rainbow. I was so little to know about these bright lights when I first saw an huge arch of colors in the sky. I still remember the day when I asked my school teacher about different colors in the sky and she beautifully explained to me - “Dear, Whenever the God of Sun and The God of Rain fights then this reflection generated from the sky and we people from the earth can see the bright shine in the form of 7 colors.” I was of 4 years old then. When I grew up, I realized that how unsightly my teacher made my fool.

In reality, A rainbow is caused by the light from the sun being broken up by water droplets in the atmosphere. The sun's light is "white", but the water droplets break it up into seven different colors which is known as “VIBGYOR” and these are the visible part of the sun`s radiation.

7 colors I refer as Rainbow and it is in the order of VIBGYOR

Violet – The color of Vibrant, dynamic, openness, cool as water and the color of personality (Purple is the combination of red and blue and under the visible light spectrum purple becomes Violet)

Indigo - The color of the deep midnight sky. It symbolizes a mystical borderland of wisdom, self-mastery and spiritual realization. Blue and Indigo somehow referred as same but Indigo is referred when comes under the light spectrum.

Blue – The color of deep sky, ocean, solitude and peace A pure blue is the color of inspiration, sincerity and spirituality like Indigo.

Green – It is one of my favorite color. The color of nature, positiveness, fertility, life which depicts self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance and happiness. People who believe in nature and growth sustain energy from the nature itself. When I go for the evening walk in the park, green color everywhere actually soothes my eyes.

Yellow – Easiest color to see everywhere, the color of sun-energy and wisdom. It is the color famous for memory sharpness and concentration.

Orange – Symbolizes the color of power. It also stimulates enthusiasm and creativity. Orange means vitality with endurance. People who like orange are usually thoughtful and sincere. Lady luck's color is orange. I have been told that if a change of any kind is need in life, just burn an orange candle for 7 nights as it is consider to give warmness as sun.

Red – Red is the color most chosen by extroverts and one of the top picks of males. Anger, love-romance, dominance, prosperity and the color of joy. Red is the color of blood, and as such has strong symbolism as life and vitality. It brings focus to the essence of life and living with emphasis on survival. Red is also the color of passion and lust.

These are the colors we see all around from the sky to the ground in every emotion and in every single thought . We feel so blue when we are away from loved ones, Red is better known for anger and love, pink is the color of beautiful lady and skin, black depicts darkness, white is the color of purity and peace, Green is the symbol of happiness and loyalty.

Life of a human beings is actually revolves around different set of colors. I can never imagine my life without colors. Can you???

I wanna dedicate this beautiful song of colors, let life be adventurous and colorful : gubbare har kism ke hai...

  3. I love all colors! It would be hard to pick just one as a favorite because that changes with the mood of the day. When my daughter was just discovering the joys of crayons as a toddler she colored everything in her color book rainbow which meant everything was covered with every color in the box. She was so happy, creative, and free. I was sorry when this phase ended and she began coloring things their proper shades.
